It took me a while, but I found a set of only 14 photos! The movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was based on three different Mercedes in the 1020's, and I found it. The first car reached 101 MPH, the second was somewhat less impressive, the third got up to about 170 in 1926.

Typo - that should have been the 1920's not the 1020's. And my included photo didn't come through, oh well. And let's not overlook the danger inherent in such a site, that of pornographic photos. When they have thousands of pics coming thru each minute (mostly legit, of course), they can't possibly see to it that nudes are properly eliminated or at least screened.
